Materials Handling Solutions for Isolators

These are high containment machines designed to contain product to nano gramme levels in the operations of dispensing, weighing, sampling, charging and discharging of high potency powders. The material handling around an isolator can include the docking of fibre or stainless steel drums, drum holders, FIBC, polybottles or poly sacks. Usually equipped with a passive split butterfly valve or RTP the container is docked onto the isolator by a PalPharmaTip. There is a high degree of accuracy involved and often the drum face needs to advance in a plane different to that of the rotation for an effective dock.
